New Maldron Hotel Opens For Business In Cork

The four-star Maldron Hotel South Mall of Cork city has officially opened for business.
Owned and operated by the Dalata Hotel Group, the Maldron Hotel South Mall features 163 bedrooms, two restaurants, a bar, a café and five meeting rooms to cater for both leisure and business guests. An additional restaurant The Italian Kitchen is due to open in spring.

Commenting on the venue's launch, Maldron Hotel South Mall general manager Robert McCarthy said, "We are delighted to officially open Maldron Hotel South Mall and rebuild areas of Parnell Place and Beasley Street which have sat derelict for 30 years. We are especially proud that this addition to Cork city centre has resulted in the creation of 100 jobs, which will rise to 130 once The Italian Kitchen restaurant section opens later in the year."
